we believe in children and families, and our mission is to empower them to reach their full potential through educational and therapeutic programs. Founded in 1919, Tamassee DAR School has provided a loving home and values-based education to thousands of students. First as a private boarding school, then as a children’s home, and now as a recovery community and education center, Tamassee believes in healing from trauma, freedom from destructive behaviors, bonding for families, the transforming power of education, and the life-changing love of God.
